The first track is curated by nonetheless than Steve Bicknell, a devoted visionary who has been a staple figure of contemporary hypnotising techno. The English pioneer sets in motion the helix with “Defence Mechanism”, track driven by the continuous presence of a distorted synth, where gradually added elements create a void from which it seems impossible to escape.
